Eleonora Ciccotti

Senior researcher, her  interests have focused on  the study of the biology and ecology of Teleost fishes,   on issues with potential applications such as the management and conservation of resources, fisheries exploitation, protection of the environment. She has worked,  in partnership with Italian and European  groups,  to  researches aimed at clarifying by  a multidisciplinary approach some aspects of the life cycle and ecology of the European eel, which are important for the resource management. She  has in fact  followed and coordinated the establishment of management plans of this  shared species, that  requires a stock recovery plan   at Community level. She  is currently involved in the study of the spatial and temporal dynamics of fish recruitment and migration in transitional environments.
